Whilst Rod Gill is mostly Auckland based, he has consulted all over New Zealand and in Australia. With over 25 years experience in Project Management as a consultant, trainer and coach in many industries, Rod is well placed to meet your needs.

Microsoft Project, Project Planning and Project Management Contracting

ACE Project Systems offers various contracting services. Contracting is either done by Rod Gill or any of the professional partners Rod is in alliance with.

The two largest contracts Rod has done are for EDS on a Project Server and project management implementation for a major outsourcing contract and for the New Zealand Oil Refinery for helping to plan a large upgrade (1.2 million hours of work).

Other clients have employed contractors with limited skills in scheduling and Microsoft Project and employed Rod as a Coach and Mentor to get the contractor up to speed. This works well where a less skilled project manager or scheduler is required.

Some clients have also used Rod to set up multi-project reporting systems and processes so other staff (with lower skills in Project) can then manage their projects.

Multi-Project Freebie

Depending on the value of the contract, as a freebie, Rod will provide for the project free use of ACE Project System's ProjectReporter. ProjectReporter is a low cost, low maintenance high added-value tool. For other contracts, talk to Rod about a discount on ProjectReporter.

ProjectReporter adds a feature in Microsoft Project that publishes data from the active schedule to SQL Server or an Access database. Macros in Excel then create automatic reports on this data. In addition information on Risks, Actions, issues, Decisions and Change requests are captured (and stored in  the database as well) and reported on. Read more on ProjectReporter here.
